Community Cat Coalition of Clark County
Our Mission
The purpose of Community Cat Coalition of Clark County or C5 is to prevent cruelty to animals by protecting healthy free-roaming and feral cats in Clark County from cruel extermination methods and from non-medically directed euthanasia; this is accomplished through the implementation of humane Trap, Neuter, and Return programs, management of outdoor colonies, and educational outreach.
Our Vision
We envision the feral cat population in Clark County to be significantly reduced through human methods. C5 shall contribute to this vision by:

Overview
Community Cat Coalition of Clark County (C5), an all-volunteer organization, is working to prevent cruelty to animals by protecting healthy free-roaming and feral cats in Clark County from cruel extermination methods and from non-medically directed euthanasia. By implementing humane Trap, Neuter, and Return (TNR) programs, the free-roaming and feral cat population will be reduced by preventing future reproduction.

Work closely with Colony Caretakers to manage their colonies

Provide TNR services including loaning traps to those who are able to trap their own colonies

Conduct public outreach by attending tabling events, conducting TNR classes, meet with colony caretakers to understand their concerns

Attend HOA or other meetings educating the members on the benefits of TNR in their communities

Sponsor colony caretakers into the Spay/Neuter clinic so they can support TNR in their colony

One of four sponsor organizations for colony caretakers

Register colony caretakers and their colonies with the Central Sponsor

Work with local jurisdictions to implement or improve feral cat ordinances

Educate the public on the benefits of TNR versus Trap and Remove

Maintain positive relationships with Animal Control units, County Shelter, and other TNR groups
