The Social Register's An Evening at the Oscars event
raised thousands of dollars for cancer patients and their
families through The WREN Foundation charity. Guest
celebrities Tony Curtis, Robin Leach, The Smothers
Brothers, Sonny King, Kenny Kerr and Director/
Producer Charlie Matthau (son of celebrated actor
Walter Matthau) were in attendance to show their support
of such a worthy cause!
This was truly the most outrageous and animated event I've ever
attended! The Social Register spared no expense in playfully recreating
it's Evening at the Oscars black tie event, complete with red
carpet, screaming fans and an opportunity to rub elbows with guest
celebrities Tony Curtis, Robin Leach, The Smothers Brothers,
Sonny King, Kenny Kerr and Director/Producer Charlie Matthau,
son of celebrated actor Walter Matthau. As the stretch limousines
and cars arrived under the grand porte-cochere, Social Register
members and their guests were immediately brought into the feeling
of the Oscars as they stepped onto the red carpet and were
greeted by a throng of screaming fans and celebrity look-a-likes.

Each member and guest was formally greeted by
Social Register President and CEO Clair and Michael
Zeto, and hosts Rob, Jeff and Trish Raskin.
Inside Social Register member Rob Raskins magnificent
16,000 square-foot estate, members and
guests were met with white glove-passed champagne
and hors d'oeuvres while being entertained
with photographs and performances by 20
of Las Vegas finest celebrity impersonators who
had graciously donated their time for this event.
A particularly exciting facet of the evening for
members and guests was the opportunity to personally
meet and have photographs taken with
renowned actor Tony Curtis and celebrity guests
The Smothers Brothers, Robin Leach, Sonny King, Kenny Kerr and Charlie Matthau. Additional highlights of
the evening included an elegant array of continental gourmet cuisine prepared by Chef Joel Leavitt, performances
by acclaimed celebrity impersonators and the fabulous Kathy Lamar Band, outrageous caricatures drawn
of members and guests, and an incredible live charity auction with celebrity auctioneer Robin Leach, which
raised thousands of dollars for cancer patients and their families through The WREN Foundation charity.
The WREN Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization in Nevada, which aids cancer patients and their
families in accordance with the proven programs of The Wellness Community. The Wellness Community was
founded in 1980 by Dr. Harold Benjamin as a response to his own wife's struggle with cancer. Since that time,
tens of thousands of cancer patients and their loved ones have been served by this wonderful, compassionate
organization which provides expert psychosocial support services and a broad range of programs to all in need,
totally free of charge, year round, six days a week. Some 24 Wellness Community facilities now exist in major
cities around the nation, and the first international Wellness Community recently opened in Tel Aviv, Israel.
All Wellness Communities are locally funded and administered. The WREN Foundation will provide the Las
Vegas community with a desperately needed facility whose sole objective is to reach out and support cancer patients
and their families during the most devastating and traumatic time of their lives.
