Graphic designer Dan McElhattan III can tell you. The self-proclaimed logo guru has designed over 1,000 logos. He has developed the listed above corporate identities, brochures, web sites, packaging and in most cases even named the businesses themselves (he named the Wolfgang Puck Restaurant managed/Walters Golf owned restaurant Cili). Dan is passionate about design and more passionate about his local clients. He has been designing for over 14 years and was raised in Las Vegas since 1977.

After graduating Bishop Gorman High School, Dan was accepted by nationally acclaimed Architecture program at The University of Arizona, (Tucson, Arizona). He changed his major Freshman year to fine arts graphic design and focused on marketing & design. Dan worked at various advertising agencies until he opened his first studio in 1996. "I felt the need to establish a unique design studio with emphasis on design which transformed beyond trends or typical visual solutions into core messages and visual tools that evoke, evolve and become timeless. A majority of my work is still being used after 10 years of application that speaks volumes to my loyal clients our initial investment."

Design is a process; a strategic tool once applied can effectively communicate messages and generate profitable vehicles. Dan's Sideout Sport adaptation design of the Mikasa line of volleyballs is "to date" their all time most profitable volleyball product. "As a designer, we are by nature problem solvers, consultants to various demographical clientele and we understand the power of message balanced with visual aesthetic (design)."

McElhattan's artistic spirit has been well documented, Dan has won over 120 awards, published in over 16 international design books, has been a guest lecturer at The University of Arizona, University of Nevada Las Vegas, and judged a Visual Communications Student Exhibition at the University of Arizona. His most recent work was shown at The Eisner American Museum of Advertising & Design - The Art Of The Business Card. One of the proudest moments in Dan's design career was becoming the founding member and advisor for a local non-profit organization, AIGA Las Vegas chapter. AIGA is dedicated to education and advancement of design professionals. The local chapter now has over one hundred members and has elevated the quality of design in Las Vegas.
