KEN WILLIAMS
COLDWELL BANKER WARDLEY

I was born and raised in Charleston, W.V. and graduated from Charleston Catholic High School where I played football, basketball, and baseball. I received a four year basketball scholarship to Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and I graduated with a BA in 1956. After graduating from Regis I enrolled in St. Louis University where I majored in social work and received a Masters Degree in Social Work in 1961.

I then worked as a child welfare worker in Champaign, IL, for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and as a supervisor in Decatur, IL. After serving 3 years in Illinois, I moved to Kansas City, MO to become the Executive Director for the Niles Home for Children, a residential treatment center for emotionally disturbed children.

While serving in this capacity, the Governor of Nebraska, asked me to be the Director of Child Welfare for the State of Nebraska. I was later appointed the Director of Social Services for the State before I accepted a position with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Kansas City, MO.

While in Kansas City, I decided to further my education so I went back to school and enrolled in the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where I earned a Doctorate in Education in 1972. After graduating, I returned to Kansas City, MO to the position as Regional Administrator for the Office of Human Development Services.

After a reorganization I was appointed Regional Administrator in the Boston, MA regional office in 1978. I lived in Merrimack, New Hampshire and commuted each day to Boston where I attended Harvard University and received a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the J.F. Kennedy School of Government. In 1991 I was appointed national Head Start Director in Washington, DC.

I held several high level positions in the Office of the Secretary of DHHS, including, Senior Policy Analyst, Deputy Director for the White House Conference on Aging, and Director for the Office of Elder Rights and Protection in the Administration on Aging in Washington, D.C. After working for 32 years as a Federal employee, I retired from government and moved to Las Vegas, NV. Las Vegas is a great place to retire, and moving her was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I am or have been a member of the National Association of Social Workers, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, 100 Black Men of Las Vegas, Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, and AARP. I have three grown children and ten grand children. My hobbies include boating, fishing, photography and golf.

Shortly after retiring, I embarked on a new career in real estate. I apply all of my education and experience to help people list, sell, and buy homes. With my educational background, I am able to thoroughly explain and answer questions and educate people through the real estate sales process. The real estate process is always more enjoyable when you fully understand each phase of the transaction. As your real estate agent, I will keep you informed throughout the entire process.

I am a full-time Realtor dedicated to providing the best possible service to you, and I will work hard to sell your home or help you buy a new home. I am committed to the highest ethical standard that is the foundation from which a solid business relationship is built.

As your real estate agent, I can access valuable resources and gather the information you need. I am prepared to respond to any situation that arises. Helping a person make one of his/her most important decisions is a serious responsibility, but something that I enjoy doing. My enthusiasm and hard work will benefit you and help reduce the stress and anxiety often associated with a real estate transaction. Please contact me with your real estate needs.
