Dr. Reeta Thukral

After graduating from Medical School, I immigrated to USA in 1973. After taking all the qualifying exams, I was admitted to a residency & fellowship program. I completed my residency in Internal medicine and fellowship in Nephrology. I have been in practice as a kidney specialist for last thirty years. At present I am working as Chief of Nephrology at VAMC, SNHS, Las Vegas, NV. Enjoy taking care of veterans.

With my personal experiences in life, I know how important it is to have an education and good health. Health care and education can help a child come out of poverty. More importantly, how important it is to have that opportunity and a chance to further yourself. With this, I wanted to give back to those poor children who wanted to study but had no means! Thus Global Charity Foundation was started in 2007. The Foundation gives these children the opportunity they need, to further themselves. The foundation has helped over 200 children in India and Africa. There are endless possibilities with having a good education. In concordance with education, good health is a necessity for overall well being. Global Charity foundation is proud to report the positive impact it has also had on child cancer patients in India. We have adopted twenty children, who are receiving chemotherapy treatment, who were otherwise sent home to die.

In Las Vegas area, we have joined hands with local shelters to provide health care & education for battered women and their children. Global Charity Foundation needs your help, to support these children and women, to make a difference in their lives.
