THOMAS R. HAYNIE, MBA, CPA
CFO OF MANPOWER, INC. OF SOUTHERN NEVADA
Thomas Haynie grew up in coal mining country in southwestern
Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and
gained experience with nuclear weaponry while earning status as a veteran.
Thomas completed his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University
with double major/double minor and received bachelor's degrees in chemistry and
accounting, and he passed all parts of the CPA examination in one sitting with
the firm of Ernst & Young in Dallas, Texas. He later received an MBA degree
from University of Phoenix maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
Thomas has served as a Special Agent-Accountant with the Federal Bureau of
Investigation and was recognized for lead work in an investigation that resulted
in the largest civil monetary award to the government in the history of the Bureau.
He later started a manufacturing business that became the largest of its kind
in the Pacific Northwest before selling it and moving to Michigan to lead the
financial department of a $600 million division of Electronic Data Systems. In
1994, he moved to Las Vegas to begin a two-year stint with Station Casinos and
served for six months as the Acting Assistant General Manager of the Texas Station.
Thomas has held a number of senior management positions in the Las Vegas Valley
leading to the current position as Chief Financial Officer of Manpower, Inc.
of Southern Nevada since September 2002.
