My name is Timothy Sam, City Manager and Director of Instruction for GolfTEC - Las Vegas. I have been a proud member of the PGA of America since I was elected in 2003. I've been coaching golf since 1999, and I've been coaching and managing for GolfTEC since 2004. As a teaching professional with GolfTEC, I've been in the top three in the nation twice in overall lessons taught and overall sales.

I have a tremendous passion for helping people meet and exceed their dreams as it relates to golf. Golf is such an amazing game as it is a microcosm of life. Golf is a very difficult game, and to improve your game takes a lot of commitment and dedication. It's so rewarding for both me and my client when he/she starts seeing the results of his/her hard work.

I've been involved with golf since I was a junior player at the age of nine. I knew I wanted to be involved with the game at some level as I played through high school. I went to college at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, and I completed my B/S Marketing degree in three and a half years. Immediately out of college, I started teaching golf full-time. It didn't take me long to identify teaching/coaching as my passion in this industry.

The exciting thing about GolfTEC is how we integrate the use of technology to maximize the student's ability to see their swing and understand how to improve it. This technology shortens the learning process significantly for the client. Also, we train our clients in a way that the swing changes remain intact for years to come. Our approach is very comprehensive as we incorporate all aspects of your game, including short game and playing lessons.

It's been a true blessing for me to operate a GolfTEC as it has taken my teaching ability to a very high level, one that I may not have reached on my own.
