The Social Register of Las Vegas Q & A
  1. What is the average age of a Social Register member?
    The typical age is approximately 32 to 55. We do have younger, and we do have older members. Because liquor is served at most events, you must be at least 21 years of age to join SRLV.
  2. How many single members do you have?
    We have over 450 single members at this time. It is pretty evenly split - 50% men and 50% women.
  3. What types of food and beverages are served at Social Register events?
    For events that feature a meal or appetizers, we are careful to always include options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. We can also often assist members who contact us several days in advance of the event with any food allergies or special dietary requests they may have. Regarding beverages served at events, there is usually an assortment of bottled water, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and wine or cocktails included in the beverage menu.
  4. Is smoking allowed at Social Register events?
    Smoking is not allowed indoors at Social Register events. If someone prefers to smoke, they have the option to go outside to do so.
  5. Do you have a lot of "black tie" events?
    In our annual surveys, our members have consistently voted for the following attire: the 1st choice was Casual Attire. The 2nd choice was Business Attire. And, the 3rd choice was - Cocktail Attire. Last, but not least, the 4th choice was Black Tie Attire. Due to the preferences our members have expressed, we typically have one black tie event per year, mixed in with the other combinations. In addition, our members often receive (through our Members Mailing Services) numerous invitations to black tie events each year.
  6. What percentage of members live here in Las Vegas?
    99% of our members live here in Las Vegas. Some members have a home here and a home elsewhere.
  7. What types of professionals do you have in your membership?
    Our membership includes a wide range of professionals - everything from CEO's, Doctors, Attorneys and Architects to GM's. We also have all types of businesses - from small, "mom and pop" businesses to multi-million dollar corporations...and everything else in between.
  8. Are children ever allowed at your events?
    We have had one Social Register event that children were allowed to attend, our "Spring into Space" event with guest celebrity Astronaut Buzz Aldrin. This event featured a martian band and, of course, martian food (purple hot dog buns, black hot dogs, green potato salad, etc.), and also included a benefit for a local children's charity.
